Hola from Elder Jordan Price

Todo Bien here in Argentina! Transfers just ended and I still have another transfer here in Comodoro. I'm going to be here for 7 and a half months along time but is alright, I know I'm here for a reason. And we are just going to work even harder.
Here in Comodoro the sun is out and I'm looking more and more like a Latin. The work is moving forward our Ward here is picking up the work. We are in the front lines of the Kingdom of God but its strengthing. Yesterday we got an investigator in Church, it was great! His name is Felix, he is from PerĂº. It was great for him to hear the testimonys of the members. The church is still young here they haven´t caught the vision yet, but it takes a long time to turn a battleship, and a 100 mile race start one step at a time. Here in Argentina I have learned the respect for work. Nothing is going to get done without work, the Church of Jesus Christ is about service. You learn and grow when your serve when your not serving your not growing that's why we have callings that's why we have home teachers that's why we have quorums. You just have to work!!
Argentina is Great the food is amazing the people are good people and it's a great time to be here in the South. The Lords work will move forward no one can stop it. We have found some great investigators this week, now we just have to do all we can then the Lord will do the rest.
In Argentina they have Dia de La virgen. (Day of the Virgin). Speaking of holidays down here, Christmas seems a lot different but everyone still has Christmas tree lights and Santa Claus. The only thing different is they have a lot of fireworks and it is really really hot. There actually is a lot of differences but it is still an amazing time. It's different to walk around and sing Christmas songs when it feels like we should be singing the Stars Spangle Banner because it feels like it's the 4th of July. But anyway, Dia de La Virgen.- We were walking like everyday and we came knocking on this house. These ladys are working on curtains for their house. They Invite us in. We sit down and we had one of the best lessons I have been in. We taught about the Restoration, and they also had a lot of questions. It was great. We then invited them to church. We went by with a member to help us teach. On Sunday two of them came we just have to get the other 5 of them to church . They were an amazing family. The Woman that came to church was Roxana, here sister Evalin was great but didn't come to church because here husband doesn't really believe much in God. But she liked the lesson and wants to come to church, we just have to work on her husband. With prayer and faith Evalin and here husband will come to church. The mother is named Magdalina. She said she was coming to church but she didn't make it. So we will see what we can do to get their daughters out and get them to receive the blessings that God has for all of them. A funny Story that happened while we were teaching them was one of the kids that has 3 years old was looking out the window and started yelling Santa Claus Santa Claus. It ended up being a group of people walking up the street with a statue of Mother Mary. Haha! It was a crazy event but it's just the Argentina people. At one moment we saw a crowd of about 200 people walking up the street following a statue of the Mother Mary. It's sad what the Apostacia has done.
Just some little things, I ate Dog and Cat at a Chinese restaurant. Today we got to go on a Coast Guard boat and look around because the captain is a member here. It was sweet. One Sunday we had an investigator family that had problems with there baby come to church so we are muy feliz.
For Christmas we get to stay up tell 12:30 because at 12 here, they light off a bunch of fire works for 30 minutes. My comp and I watched Joy to the World with everyone we could. It's a great up-lifting movie that teaches the first lessons about how God loves us and calls prophets and we can know through the Book of Mormon. I love this work!
On Saturday after Christmas we go over to an investigators house and they give us pig, then they wanted to give us desert so they gave us fruit salad. We ask if there was anything in it, they told us that they didn't put anything in it. then we finished eating it. I then asked how they made it, they then told us they put Sidra which is like sparkling cider. My comp and I looked at each other- we just drank alcohol. I was kind of disappointed they didn't tell us until after. But we just have to laugh about it now and never eat fruit salad again. haha!

I can't believe I have been in the mission for a year.

Chou Con Amor,
Elder Price
